Top 10 items people forget to pack in their holiday suitcase

275x250.jpg Brits spend an estimated £118 million a year on forgotten holiday items, as nearly half (41 per cent) of us forget to pack one item per holiday.

A recent study discovered that nearly 15 million holiday essentials are left behind each year, as the nation suffer from 'suitcase haste', being too busy or stressed to pack properly in the lead up to a holiday.

Whilst we're forgetting essentials such as shoes (27 per cent), mobile phone chargers (25 per cent) and sun cream (13 per cent) people surprisingly find space for some British home comforts.

The study found food such as Brown Sauce, Pork Pies and Marmalade are often packed away for holidays alongside more bizarre items including fancy dress.

A spokesperson for Viking River Cruises which commissioned the study said: "We were surprised to discover that so many British holidaymakers are forgetting their holiday essentials."
