Workers deny bosses online friend requests
Most people do not want to be friends with their bosses or parents on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, a survey has found.A poll quizzed over 1,000 Brits about who they don't want as online 'friends' and bosses toped the list with 86 percent.
Parents came second with 74 percent followed by colleagues (69 percent) relatives (61 percent) and Ex boyfriends/girlfriends (52 percent).
Asked why they didn't want to befriend certain people 78 percent admitted it was because they had something embarrassing on their profile.
You never know, if your boss saw those incriminating photos of what you got up to on Saturday night you could get a raise ... but they might not go down too well with your Dad.
A spokesperson for yasni.co.uk - who commissioned the poll - said: "With social networking sites quickly becoming the way for people to stay in touch, it was only a matter of time before our parents and even grandparents signed up.
"But when our miserable boss who rarely even talks to us in the office adds us as a ‘friend’, it’s no wonder people assume they just want to keep tabs on them."
