The £1 million diamond handbag

This is the worlds most expensive handbag, worth over £1 million.

Designed by Japanese Ginza Tanaka it is made entirely from platinum and set with over 2,000 diamonds.

The bag has is being used to launch London Jewellery Week 2008 and will go on sale at the event.

Organizers say the diamond shoulder strap can be detached and worn as a necklace or a bracelet and other decorations worn as a brooch.

The locations where the handbag will go on display will not be disclosed in advance for security reasons.
