For your filet mignon medallion with mustard sauce to be perfect, use the ingredients from the list below and follow the preparation step-by-step.

Ingredients

  • Filet mignon medallion – 4 units

  • Dijon Mustard – 2 tablespoons

  • Fresh cream – 500ml (1 bottle)

  • Garlic – 2 cloves

  • Salt to taste

  • Freshly ground black pepper – to taste

  • Extra virgin olive oil – 50 ml

  • Sage and thyme – to taste

  • Butter – 3 tablespoons

Directions

  • Add 2 tablespoons olive oil or oil to a very hot skillet;
  • Add Butter – 1 tbsp;
  • Season the medallions with black pepper and salt (on both sides);
  • As soon as the skillet starts to smoke, add the medallions and sear on all sides;
  • Book the medallions;
  • In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons butter;
  • Add Garlic – 2 minced cloves;
  • Add sage and thyme – to taste;
  • Add Dijon Mustard – 2 tbsp;
  • Add fresh cream – 500ml (1 bottle);
  • Add salt and black pepper;
  • Mix;
  • Add the sauce to the medallions;
