For your farofa to be very complete and please everyone at Christmas dinner, see the suggested ingredients and follow the instructions on how to prepare this wonderful recipe!


  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 100 grams of bacon

  • 2 pieces of Tuscan sausage

  • 1½ cups of raw cassava flour (250g)

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • 1 small chopped onion

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 2 crushed garlic cloves

  • 1 bunch of kale

  • ½ grated carrot

  • Raisins (to taste)

  • Chopped walnuts (optional)

  • Chopped green parsley (to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon salt (to taste)


  • In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
  • Add 100 grams of bacon;
  • Mix over low heat until slightly fried;
  • Add 2 pieces of Tuscan sausage (without the skin);
  • Let it fry a little;
  • Add a diced onion;
  • Mix and let it fry a little;
  • Add 2 crushed garlic cloves;
  • Tempere with kingdom pepper;
  • Add half a teaspoon of smoked paprika;
  • Mix;
  • Add raisins to taste (optional);
  • Add 1 cup of cassava flour tea;
  • Mix well and let it toast a little;
  • Add half a teaspoon of salt;
  • Mix well;
  • Add 1 heaping tablespoon of butter;
  • Turn off the fire and mix well;
  • Add half a grated carrot;
  • Mix;
  • Add finely chopped cabbage;
  • Mix;
  • Add cilantro, parsley, and chives to August;
  • Add chopped nuts to taste;
  • Your complete Christmas farofa is ready!
