To prepare this delicious chess chicken so that it looks very similar to those found in oriental restaurants, you will need the ingredients listed below and follow the instructions on how to prepare it. 
Let’s start!

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of chicken breast fillet

  • 1 tablespoon(s) salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon grated garlic 15 grams

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup (tea) starch 25 grams

  • 1/4 cup (tea) olive oil 50 ml

  • 1 cup (tea) chopped green pepper 120 grams

  • 1 cup (tea) chopped red pepper 120 grams

  • 1 cup (tea) chopped yellow pepper 120 grams

  • 2 cups (tea) of chopped onion 240 grams

  • 1 cup (tea) of chopped celery 120 grams

  • 2 cups (tea) of water 420 ml

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce 25 ml

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch 12 grams

  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil (you can add up to 1 tablespoon)

  • 1/3 cup roasted, skinless peanuts (optional)

Directions

  • Cut 500 grams of chicken breast fillet into cubes;
  • Add 1 tablespoon (soup) of salt;
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper;
  • Add 1 tablespoon (soup) of grated garlic 15 grams;
  • Add 1 beaten egg;
  • Mix;
  • Cover and marinate for 1 hour;
  • Add 1/4 cup (tea) of starch 25 grams;
  • Mix;
  • In a pan on the fire, add 1/4 cup (tea) of olive oil 50 ml;
  • Add the chicken;
  • Let it fry until golden;
  • Book the chicken;
  • Add the diced peppers;
  • Add 2 cups (tea) of chopped onion 240 grams;
  • Add 1 cup (tea) of minced celery 120 grams;
  • Mix and let it braise;
  • Add the chicken;
  • Add 2 cups (tea) of water 420 ml;
  • Let it boil;
  • Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce 25 ml;
  • Mix and cook for 2 minutes;
  • Add 2 tablespoons cornstarch 12 grams;
  • Add 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil (you can add up to 1 tablespoon);
  • Blend for 2 minutes;
  • Add 1/3 cup (tea) of roasted and skinless peanuts (optional);
  • Your chess chicken is ready!
