Pavlova is a typical dessert from New Zealand and Australia, made with a base that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with whipped cream and fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

  • 1 cup of whipped cream

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg whites until very stiff.
  • Gradually add the sugar, continuing to beat until the mixture is firm and glossy.
  • Add vanilla essence and vinegar and mix well.
  • Dispose of the mixture in a large, round shape, forming a circle with the help of a spoon.
  • Make a depression in the center of the dough so you can put the whipped cream and fruit later.
  • Bake for about 1 hour, until the base is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool.
  • When the Pavlova is cold, fill it with whipped cream and sliced ​​fresh strawberries.
  • Serve chilled.
