Former top banker Raoul Pal says altcoins like Ethereum and Solana are poised to soar to new all-time highs. In a new video update, the CEO of Real Vision shares that the “crypto summer” could start within one month.
At that point, coins like Ethereum and Solana, but also many other altcoins, should start a rally.
Crypto summer approaching?
A crypto summer generally means that we see higher prices, trading volumes increase and sentiment in the market becomes extremely bullish, blockchains continue to develop and adoption increases.
“It is very normal for the crypto spring that Bitcoin is outperforming the rest of the market. In the summer, that performance then jumps into a phase where Ethereum outperforms Bitcoin.
Can Ethereum also outperform Solana? I highly doubt that. Solana is earlier in the adoption curve, so the returns are potentially much higher,” says Raoul Pal.
Raoul Pal’s crypto journey is striking. He started out as a big supporter of Bitcoin, then jumped to Ethereum and now seems to be choosing Solana mainly because of the higher potential returns he sees for the project.
A crypto autumn like 2013 and 2017
Raoul Pal also predicts that the crypto market will have a fall like we saw in 2013 and 2017. At that time, the markets shot up even further.
“We had a fantastic spring this year. Summer is the time when you see further increases, but autumn was somewhat less during the last cycle. In that respect we had a strange cycle, with a double top.
That was highly unusual. 2017 and 2013 were more typical of the fall season. Although we don’t know how it will play out this time. However, I expect an autumn that is more similar to the periods of 2013 and 2017, but we will have to reevaluate that at that time.
However, at the moment we are in the easy part of the year, the summer,” says an optimistic Raoul Pal.
That summer should start next month or a little later according to Raoul Pal, so then we should prepare for new increases.
