Lisa Marie Presley (54), daughter of Elvis Presley, died on Thursday (12). The singer was hospitalized and admitted earlier after suffering cardiac arrest. She was attended to by paramedics at her home in Calabasas, Calif., before going to the hospital and had a pulse resumed before arriving at the scene.
The singer and her mother, Priscilla Presley, went to the Golden Globes last Tuesday (10) to accompany Austin Butler, an actor who played Elvis in a film and won in the category of best actor in a drama.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong, loving woman I’ve ever known,” Priscilla told People magazine.
Born in Tennessee in 1968, Lisa Marie was the only child of Elvis Presley. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother 4 years after her parents’ divorce. When Elvis died in 1977, she inherited her father’s estate along with her grandfather, Vernon, and great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Hood Presley.
