Israeli officials expressed regret and criticism of the US president’s decision, Joe Bidento suspend the shipment of some weapons to the country after the military operation in Rafah.

The Israeli ambassador to the UN, From Gileadconsidered the measure “very disappointing” and warned of possible impacts on the battlefield.

Erdan highlighted that any pressure or restriction on Israel could be interpreted as a sign of support for the country’s enemies. He argued that access to Rafah is essential for dealing with terrorists and Hamas leaders.

The operation in Rafah has raised concerns of a humanitarian crisis, with the UN estimating that 79,000 people have already left the city due to the Israeli ultimatum.

A Agency for Palestinian Refugees reported that the city had suffered more shelling in the last 24 hours than in the previous two weeks.
