Ingredients
1 kg of dried meat
1 kg cooked and mashed cassava
1 chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
Grated cheese for sprinkling
Directions
- In a pan, place the beef jerky and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil and cook until the meat is tender.
- Drain the water and shred the meat.
- In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add the shredded meat and season with salt and pepper.
- Let it cook for a few more minutes.
- In a refractory, place a layer of mashed cassava and then a layer of braised meat.
- Repeat these layers until the refractory is full.
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
- Take to preheated oven (180°C) for about 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden.
- Serve it hot.
