Ingredients

  • 1 kg of dried meat

  • 1 kg cooked and mashed cassava

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Grated cheese for sprinkling

Directions

  • In a pan, place the beef jerky and cover with water.
  • Bring to a boil and cook until the meat is tender.
  • Drain the water and shred the meat.
  • In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add the shredded meat and season with salt and pepper.
  • Let it cook for a few more minutes.
  • In a refractory, place a layer of mashed cassava and then a layer of braised meat.
  • Repeat these layers until the refractory is full.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  • Take to preheated oven (180°C) for about 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden.
  • Serve it hot.
