Let’s make a Crispy Tilapia Fillet!


  • 8 to 10 tilapia fillets

  • 1 lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal (tea)

  • 1 cup wheat flour (tea)

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (coffee)

  • 2 spoons (coffee) of lemon pepper

  • 2 spoons (coffee) of salt

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • Black pepper to taste


  • Place the tilapia fillets in a bowl and season with lemon pepper, salt, lemon juice, crushed garlic cloves and black pepper to taste.
  • Mix very well, massaging the fillets carefully so as not to disassemble them. Set aside and marinate for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • In a container add the wheat flour, cornmeal, corn starch and mix well. 
    Coat the fillets in the dry mixture on both sides, transfer them to a plate and fry them in very hot oil until golden brown.
  • Carefully remove the tilapia fillets from the oil, transfer to a plate lined with paper towels and serve with your preferred accompaniment.
