Cuca de coco is a different and delicious version of the traditional dessert that conquered Brazil!


  • Dough
  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup (tea) of milk

  • 1/2 cup (tea) of sugar

  • 1 cup wheat flour (tea)

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

  • 1 tablespoon chemical baking powder

  • Topping
  • 200 grams of grated coconut

  • 200 grams of condensed milk

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine


  • Start with the dough. 
    Add the egg, sugar and butter or margarine, milk, wheat flour, baking powder and mix very well until homogenized.
  • Transfer the dough to a small, greased and floured cake tin and set aside. 
    In a separate container, mix the grated coconut, condensed milk and 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine very well.
  • Distribute the topping ingredients over the dough and bake the cuca for approximately 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 180º₢.
  • Remove the coconut cuca from the oven and wait to cool until it’s lukewarm. 
    Unmold by running a knife along the sides of the mold, pour condensed milk on top and the coconut cuca is ready to be served.
