Basic ingredients for making ceviche include fresh fish, lemon or lime, onion, pepper and cilantro.
It is usually served with boiled potatoes and boiled corn (choclo).
Ingredients
1 kg of fresh fish (tilapia, salmon or tuna)
1 cup lemon or lime juice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Salt and black pepper to taste
Boiled potatoes and boiled corn (optional) to serve
Directions
- Cut the fish into small cubes and place it in a large bowl.
- Add the lemon or lime juice, onion, pepper and cilantro to the bowl with the fish.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix well and let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve the ceviche with boiled potatoes and boiled corn (choclo) if desired.
