Online game lets you pelt Murdoch with pies

275x250.jpgA game which lets fed-up Brits pelt those involved in the News of the World hacking scandal has become an online hit.

'Hacked Off' lets users hurl custard pies at Rupert and James Murdoch, Rebekah Brooks, Andy Coulson and even Prime Minister David Cameron.

The aim of the game is simple, hit your hack-gate subject as many times as you can in 30 seconds - each time getting a satisfying splat visual and realistic noise.

More than 10,000 people are already playing the game each day and the game's inventor says it proving a big success with those left angry and frustrated by the phone hacking debacle.

While there's no word on who is the post popular person to pelt with pies, our money would be on Andy Coulson… we don't know why, it just would be.
Tony Raynor, Managing Director of  phone systems and services Abbey Telecom company, who host the game on their website, said: “People across Britain have been rightly outraged by this news but feel helpless and unable to do anything to let off steam.

“This is an amusing and fun way for participants to express their emotions about what is a very serious issue. It certainly seems to have captured the public’s imagination.”

Earlier this month, comedian and activist Jonnie Marbles was arrested after allegedly throwing a foam platter at Rupert Murdoch whilst he gave evidence to a Parliamentary inquiry.
