During a campaign rally in Michigan, the former president of the United States and current Republican Party candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, raised concerns about current president Joe Biden’s management of the nuclear issue.
Trump highlighted that Biden’s lack of ability to articulate ideas could have serious consequences, especially in his interactions with leaders such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un.
“This type [Biden] has no idea. He can’t put two sentences together and he’s dealing with Putin, President Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un. Everyone knows very well that we weren’t under threat from anyone until this guy arrived in the Oval Office. Now, they don’t stop talking about nuclear,” said Trump.
The former president also highlighted the efforts made during his term to strengthen the United States’ nuclear arsenal, stating that this guaranteed “four safe years”. However, Trump has expressed concern that the current administration could put that stability at risk.
“We were safe because they respected the president and they respected the United States. Now you are not safe. And I will tell you: with this madman, we could end up in World War III,” Trump emphasized.
