Traditional Sausage

Salpicão is a typical dish of Brazilian cuisine, generally served as a starter or appetizer. It is made with cooked and shredded chicken, grated carrots, green corn, peas, raisins, olives, straw potatoes and mayonnaise.

It is a versatile dish that can be served in different ways, such as sandwiches, wraps, salads or even as a main dish.

Ingredients

  • 500 g cooked and shredded chicken breast

  • 2 large grated carrots

  • 1 can of peas

  • 1 can of green corn

  • 200 g of grape-passa

  • 1 chopped apple

  • 100 g chopped black olives

  • 80 g straw potatoes

  • 1 cup (200 ml) mayonnaise

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix the chicken, carrot, corn, peas, raisins, apple, olives and straw potatoes.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Add mayonnaise and mix well.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
