Ingredients
2 kg of ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
6 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large pan, sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until the onion is transparent.
- Add the tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt and black pepper.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 1 hour or until the sauce is thick.
