Here is the list of ingredients needed to prepare your canned corn cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 can corn (drained)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • A bit of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter or oil.
  • Put the drained corn in the blender and beat until you get a creamy mixture.
  • Add the eggs, sugar and oil to the blender with the corn and beat again until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the wheat flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Pour the liquid mixture from the blender into the bowl with the flour and mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Pour the dough into the greased cake tin and place in the preheated oven.
  • Bake the cake for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
