Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal (tea)
1 cup (tea) wheat flour
1 cup (tea) sugar
1/2 cup (tea) of oil
1 egg
1 cup of milk (tea)
1 tablespoon of chemical baking powder
100 g of guava paste in pieces
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a blender, beat the cornmeal, wheat flour, sugar, oil, egg and milk until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Add the chemical yeast and mix gently.
- Pour the dough into the prepared pan and distribute the guava paste over the top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Notes
- For a fluffier cake, use fine cornmeal.
- If you prefer a sweeter cake, add more sugar.
- For a cake with more guava, add more guava to the dough.
