Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
2 cups of cornmeal
3 eggs
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
200g of guava, cut into small cubes
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
- In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, wheat flour and sugar.
- Add the eggs, milk and oil to the dry mixture.
- Stir well until you get a homogeneous mass.
- Lastly, add the baking powder and mix gently.
- Pour half the dough into the prepared mold and distribute the guava cubes on top.
- Cover with the rest of the dough, ensuring that the guava paste is well covered.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the cake cool before unmolding.
