Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons of milk

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil (to grease the pan)

  • Optional filling (cheese, ham, tomato, onion, mushrooms, etc.)

Directions

  • Break the eggs into a bowl and beat them lightly with a fork or whisk.
  • Add the milk to the beaten eggs and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to incorporate.
  • If you are using any stuffing, cut it into small pieces and set aside.
  • Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add the butter or oil to grease.
  • Pour the beaten egg mixture into the hot skillet. Let it cook for about 1-2 minutes, until the bottom starts to set.
  • If you are using a filling, spread it evenly over half of the omelet.
  • Using a spatula, fold the unfilled half over the filled half, forming a half moon.
  • Let cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the eggs are completely cooked.
  • Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve immediately.
