 
                A simple cornmeal cake is a cake made with cornmeal, wheat flour, sugar, milk, oil, eggs, baking powder and salt. Cornmeal is a fine cornmeal that gives the cake a soft, fluffy texture. The cake is usually baked in a cake pan and served with butter, jam or syrup.

Ingredients
- 2 cups of cornmeal 
- 1 cup wheat flour 
- 1 cup of sugar 
- 1 cup of milk 
- 1/2 cup oil 
- 3 eggs 
- 1 tablespoon powdered yeast 
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt 
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 
 Grease and flour a 30 cm cake tin.
- In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, milk, oil, eggs and yeast. 
 Mix until smooth.
- Add salt and mix again.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For a fluffier cornmeal cake, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 1/2 cup shredded coconut or 1/2 cup chopped chocolate to the batter for a tastier cake.
