Simple Chicken Sausage

Chicken salpicão is a salad with shredded chicken, vegetables and mayonnaise. It is a traditional Brazilian dish, often served at parties and celebrations, such as Christmas and New Year.

Chicken salpicão is a colorful and appetizing salad. 
The shredded chicken is tender and juicy, and the vegetables add texture and flavor. 
Mayonnaise is the ingredient that gives the salad its binding and creaminess.

Ingredients

  • 500 g cooked and shredded chicken breast

  • 2 large grated carrots

  • 1 can of green corn

  • 1 can of peas

  • 1 apple

  • 200 g of raisins

  • Mayonnaise to taste

  • Green scent to taste

Directions

  • Cook the chicken breast in boiling salted water until tender. 
    Shred the chicken and set aside.
  • Grate the carrots and set aside.
  • Drain the peas and corn and set aside.
  • Rinse the raisins in hot water to remove the bitterness and set aside.
  • Peel the apple and cut into small cubes.
  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except the straw potatoes.
  • Add mayonnaise and green chilli to taste and mix well.
  • Serve the chicken sausage with straw potatoes on top.
