Make your Simple and Quick Chocolate Cake using the ingredients below and following the step-by-step preparation method.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

  • 1 cup boiling water

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter or oil and flour.
  • In a large bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Add the milk, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla extract to the dry mixture.
  • Beat well with a mixer at medium speed until you get a homogeneous mass.
  • Add the boiling water to the dough and beat again until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely before unmolding.
  • If you wish, you can decorate the cake with a frosting of your choice, such as chocolate ganache, chocolate cream or sifted icing sugar.
