The shrimp version is lighter and has a more delicate flavor.
Ingredients
500g gray or pink shrimp
1 tablespoon of butter
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 pinch of oregano
1 pinch of salt
Black pepper to taste
1 cup tomato sauce
1 can of cream
Directions
- Remove the shrimp head and shells, clean and set aside.
- In a pan, add the butter and let it melt.
- Then add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft.
- Add the shrimp, oregano, salt and black pepper and sauté for another 2 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink.
- Add the tomato sauce and cream and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Serve immediately with white rice and straw potatoes.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, use pink shrimp.
- If you want, add chopped mushrooms to the stew.
- For a creamier stroganoff, use fresh cream.
