Ingredients
1 kg of potatoes
1 tablespoon of butter
Salt to taste
Directions
- Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water until they are soft but not falling apart.
- Place the grated potatoes in a kitchen towel and wring well to remove excess water.
- In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat.
- Add the grated potatoes and spread them evenly in the pan.
- Cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until golden.
- Season with salt to taste and serve.
Notes
- For the potato rosti to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it is important to remove excess water.
- If you want, you can add other ingredients to the potato rosti, such as onion, bacon, cheese or fine herbs.
