Pudding cake is a perfect dessert for any occasion. 
It’s delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 dessert spoon of baking powder

  • 2 tablespoons of margarine

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 1 can of milk

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Directions

  • In a pan, add the sugar and water and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar melts and forms a golden caramel.
  • Pour the caramel into the cake pan and set aside.
  • In a mixer, beat the eggs and sugar until it forms a light and fluffy cream.
  • Add the milk and margarine and beat until combined.
  • Lastly, add the wheat flour and baking powder and mix gently until a homogeneous dough forms.
  • In a blender, beat the condensed milk, milk, eggs and butter until you obtain a homogeneous cream.
  • Pour the cake batter into the caramelized pan.
  • Then pour the pudding cream over the cake batter.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for about 40 minutes, or until the cake is baked and the pudding is firm.
  • Let cool and unmold.

Notes

  • To make the caramel brighter, add a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to the syrup.
  • To prevent the cake from being heavy, add the wheat flour and baking powder to the dough little by little, mixing gently.
  • If you want, you can add chocolate powder to the cake batter to make it tastier.
