To prepare this Pressure Cooker Noodles, use the ingredients below and follow the instructions in the preparation method.

Ingredients

  • 500g of pasta of your choice (penne, spaghetti, fusilli, etc.)

  • 1 tin of peeled tomatoes

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 500ml of water

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional spices to taste (oregano, basil, etc.)

Directions

  • Turn the pressure cooker on medium heat and add the olive oil.
Then sauté the chopped onion and garlic until golden and fragrant.
  • Add the can of peeled tomatoes to the pan and break up the tomatoes with a spoon or mash them up with your hands to get smaller pieces.
  • Stir well to incorporate the sautéed tomatoes with the onion and garlic.
  • Then add the pasta to the pot along with the water.
  • Season with salt, pepper and other seasonings of your choice.
    Mix everything gently.
  • Close the pressure cooker and set it to high pressure mode.
  • Cook for about half the time indicated on the pasta package.
For example, if pasta normally takes 10 minutes to cook, cook for about 5 minutes in the pressure cooker.
  • After the cooking time, turn off the heat and release the pressure in the pan according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • When the pressure is completely released, carefully open the pressure cooker.
The pasta should be al dente and the water should have been absorbed.
  • Stir the pasta to loosen any possible stickiness and check the doneness.
  • If it’s to your liking, it’s ready to serve.
If not, return the pan to the heat for a few more minutes, adding a little water if necessary.
  • Serve the pressure cooker pasta hot, accompanied by grated cheese, fresh herbs or any other addition of your choice.
