Plain Pancake Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon powdered yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 2 big eggs

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  • In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla.
  • In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until smooth. 
    Don’t hit too much.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Add a dash of butter or oil to the skillet.
  • Pour 1/4 cup batter into skillet.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the pancakes are browned and cooked through.
  • Serve with your favorite sauces and toppings.

Notes

  • For fluffier pancakes, sift the flour.
  • For thinner pancakes, add more milk.
  • For thicker pancakes, add more flour.
  • For pancakes with a special flavor, add extra ingredients to the batter, such as chocolate, fruit or spices.
