For your simple pancake to have a delicious batter, use the ingredients below and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tea spoons of baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 3/4 cup of milk

  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter

  • Oil or butter for greasing the skillet

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the milk, egg and melted butter until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir well until a smooth dough forms.
  • If you prefer, you can use a mixer or blender to make the process easier.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Lightly grease the skillet with oil or butter.
  • Pour a shell of the dough into the hot skillet.
  • Cook until bubbles begin to form on the surface of the pancake and the underside is golden brown.
  • Flip the pancake with a spatula and cook the other side until golden brown.
  • Repeat the process until all the batter is used, oiling the skillet as needed to prevent the pancakes from sticking.
  • Serve the pancakes hot with your favorite topping such as honey, maple syrup, fresh fruit, jam, or whatever else you prefer.
