Hello my loves! Today I’m going to teach you how to make a pineapple pie that is delicious! This recipe is very simple and quick, and the result is a very fluffy and tasty pie.

And here’s a trick for the Pineapple Pie: Before adding the filling to the dough, sprinkle a little sugar over it. 
This will help to caramelize the pineapple and give the pie a sweeter flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour

  • 1 cup (tea) sugar

  • 1/2 cup cold butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 1 can of cream

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 medium pineapple, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, butter and egg.
  • Add the yeast and salt and mix until a homogeneous dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough in a greased and floured removable bottom pan.
  • In a pan, mix the condensed milk, cream, eggs and cornstarch.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  • Remove from heat and add pineapple and sugar.
  • Pour the filling over the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 200ºC for about 30 minutes, or until golden.

Notes

  • To make the dough fluffier, beat the butter with the sugar until it forms a cream.
  • Do not roll out the dough before baking as it may deflate.
  • If you want, you can decorate the pie with grated coconut or whipped cream.
