It’s an easy dessert to make and can be prepared in advance, making it perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 large pineapple, cut into pieces

  • 1 cup (240 ml) sugar

  • 1 can of condensed milk (395 g)

  • 1 can of cream (300 g)

  • 1 packet of champagne biscuits (180 g)

Directions

  • In a saucepan, combine the pineapple and sugar and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the pineapple is soft and the syrup thickens. Set aside.
  • In another pan, mix the condensed milk, cream and egg yolks. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  • In a medium baking dish, assemble the trifle, alternating layers of biscuits soaked in pineapple syrup, cream and pineapple.
  • Finish with a layer of cream and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
