Ingredients
1 large pineapple, cut into pieces
1 cup (240 ml) sugar
1 can of condensed milk (395 g)
1 can of cream (300 g)
1 packet of champagne biscuits (180 g)
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine the pineapple and sugar and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the pineapple is soft and the syrup thickens. Set aside.
- In another pan, mix the condensed milk, cream and egg yolks. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool.
- In a medium baking dish, assemble the trifle, alternating layers of biscuits soaked in pineapple syrup, cream and pineapple.
- Finish with a layer of cream and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
