Pastel de Vento (Only Pasta)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/3 cup oil

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 egg

  • Frying oil

  • Sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling

Directions

  • In a pan, mix water, milk, sugar, salt and oil. 
    Take it to the fire and let it boil.
  • Add the wheat flour and stir well until you form a homogeneous mass.
  • Remove the dough from the pan and place on a floured surface. 
    Expect to cool down a bit.
  • Add the egg and mix well.
  • Open the dough with a rolling pin and cut into circles with a pastry cutter or a glass.
  • Fry the pastries in hot oil until golden. 
    Drain on absorbent paper.
  • Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon to taste.
