Ingredients
300 grams of pasta (of your choice)
3 tablespoons of butter
2 cups of milk
3 tablespoons wheat flour
Black pepper to taste
Nutmeg to taste
Salt to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions
- In a large pot, boil enough water to cook the pasta.
- Add salt to taste and cook pasta according to package directions.
- Run and book.
- While the pasta is cooking, prepare the white sauce.
- In another pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- When the butter is melted, add the all-purpose flour to the pan and stir well until it forms a smooth, homogeneous paste known as a roux.
- Gradually add the milk to the pan, constantly stirring with a fouet or wooden spoon to avoid the formation of lumps.
- Keep stirring until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
- Make sure the flour is completely cooked to avoid the raw taste.
- This usually takes about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Season the white sauce with salt, black pepper and nutmeg to taste.
- The amount of spices can be adjusted according to your personal preferences.
- Add the cooked pasta to the white sauce in the pan and mix well so that the pasta is completely covered in the sauce.
- Cook for a few more minutes, stirring occasionally, so that the pasta absorbs some of the sauce.
- If desired, you can finish off the dish by sprinkling grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta before serving.
- Serve the pasta with hot white sauce and enjoy!
