Pasta in the Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • 500g screw pasta

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 500g prepared tomato sauce

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  • In a pressure cooker, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add the tomato sauce, water, salt and black pepper.
  • Mix well.
  • Add the noodles and mix again.
  • Cover the pan and lead to high fire.
  • When you start beeping, count 3 minutes and turn off the fire.
  • Wait for the pressure to release naturally, or for about 10 minutes.
  • Open the pan and serve the pasta hot.

Notes

  • For more al dente pasta, cook for 2 minutes less than the time indicated on the package.
  • For creamier pasta, add 1/2 cup of cream at the end of cooking.
  • You can add other ingredients to the pasta, such as cheese, ham, bacon, chicken or sausage.
