Ingredients
250g pasta (spaghetti or linguine, for example)
4 minced garlic cloves
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Salt to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions
- In a large pot, bring water to boil.
- Add enough salt to season the water and cook the pasta according to package directions, until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, in another large pot or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-low heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan with the oil and cook gently until lightly golden, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t burn.
- If desired, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a touch of spiciness.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain well and transfer to the pan with the garlic and olive oil.
- Mix well so that the noodles are well coated with the seasoning.
- Season with salt to taste and stir again.
- If you prefer, add grated parmesan cheese and mix so that it melts slightly.
- Transfer the noodles to individual plates or a platter, and sprinkle with chopped parsley on top to garnish.
- Serve immediately while it’s still hot and enjoy this simple and tasty dish!
