Here are the suggested ingredients for your perfect Garlic and Oil Pasta.

Ingredients

  • 250g pasta (spaghetti or linguine, for example)

  • 4 minced garlic cloves

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt to taste

  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

  • In a large pot, bring water to boil.
  • Add enough salt to season the water and cook the pasta according to package directions, until al dente.
  • While the pasta is cooking, in another large pot or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-low heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the pan with the oil and cook gently until lightly golden, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t burn.
  • If desired, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a touch of spiciness.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, drain well and transfer to the pan with the garlic and olive oil.
  • Mix well so that the noodles are well coated with the seasoning.
  • Season with salt to taste and stir again.
  • If you prefer, add grated parmesan cheese and mix so that it melts slightly.
  • Transfer the noodles to individual plates or a platter, and sprinkle with chopped parsley on top to garnish.
  • Serve immediately while it’s still hot and enjoy this simple and tasty dish!
