Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
1 egg
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon powdered yeast
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter (or vegetable oil)
Directions
- In a large bowl, sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Mix the dry ingredients well. - In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg.
Add milk and melted butter (or vegetable oil) and mix well. - Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir gently until you get a homogeneous mass.
- It’s important not to stir too much to prevent the pancakes from getting heavy.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
If necessary, grease the frying pan with a little butter or vegetable oil. - Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the heated skillet.
- Spread the dough lightly with the help of a spoon to form a round pancake.
- Cook the pancake for about 2 to 3 minutes, or until the underside is golden brown and the edges are slightly set.
Flip the pancake carefully with a spatula and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes on the other side. - Transfer the finished pancake to a plate and repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
