In this version, the ingredients are assembled in a mold or pan and baked in the oven, resulting in a tasty meal with a different texture than the conventional hot dog.

Ingredients

  • Hot Dog Buns (desired quantity)

  • Sausages (desired amount)

  • Shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (or any other cheese you prefer)

  • Mustard

  • Tomato sauce or ketchup

  • Chopped onion

  • Chopped pickles (optional)

  • Pepper sauce (optional)

  • Other ingredients of your choice, such as corn, peas, etc.

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Cut the sausages in half lengthwise to make assembly easier.
  • Cut the hot dog buns in half, leaving them open but not completely separating the halves.
  • Put a layer of tomato sauce or ketchup on the inside of the buns.
  • Add the sliced ​​sausages to the buns.
  • Then add the chopped onion and pickles, if using.
  • Add mustard and chili sauce as per your personal taste.
  • Cover with grated cheese.
  • Repeat the process for all breads.
  • Place the stuffed buns in a mold or baking dish.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly browned.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
