For your Peel Orange Cake to be wonderful, use the ingredients below and follow the step-by-step.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium oranges (preferably organic)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup of orange juice (you can use the juice from the oranges you used the peel)

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (can be sunflower or canola oil)

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Grease a round mold of approximately 22 cm in diameter with butter and sprinkle with flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
  • Wash the oranges well to remove any dirt and impurities.
  • Cut off the ends and cut the oranges into small pieces.
  • Remove the seeds, if any, but keep the skin.
  • In a blender, add the sliced ​​oranges, eggs, sugar, oil and orange juice.
  • Beat everything until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • In a large bowl, sift the flour and baking powder.
  • Pour the blender mixture over the sifted dry ingredients.
  • Mix gently with a spatula or silicone spoon until the dough is uniform and free of lumps.
  • Pour the dough into the greased mold and place in the preheated oven.
  • Bake the cake for approximately 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the tin for a few minutes before unmolding.
  • If desired, sprinkle icing sugar on top to decorate.
