This cake is made with healthy ingredients like oats, bananas, and eggs, and it’s a great way to use up ripe bananas.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of rolled oats

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

  • 1 teaspoon of chemical yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). 
    Grease and flour a 20 cm round cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and oil until smooth. 
    Add the mashed bananas and mix until combined.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the oat mixture and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before serving.
