For your Nescau brownie to be perfect, you’ll need to use the ingredients below and follow the step-by-step preparation method.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup of Nescau (chocolate powder)

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 2 big eggs

  • 3/4 cup wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease a square or rectangular mold (approximately 20×20 cm) with butter or line it with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix the sugar, melted butter and Nescau (chocolate powder).
  • Stir well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Add the vanilla essence and mix again.
  • Add the flour and salt to the chocolate mixture, stirring gently until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  • If desired, add chopped walnuts at this stage to give the brownie a crunch.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out with a few moist but not runny crumbs.
  • The brownie’s sweet spot is when it’s slightly moist in the middle.
  • Remove from oven and let cool in pan for a few minutes.
  • Cut in squares and serve.
  • If desired, you can sprinkle some icing sugar on top to decorate.
