Ingredients

  • 500 g of penne pasta

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 tablespoon wheat flour

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: shredded chicken, ham, chopped tomatoes, olives, peas, etc.

Directions

  • Cook the macaroni according to package directions.
  • Run and book.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and add the flour.
  • Mix well and let cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the milk and cream to the pan and mix until smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Add the grated cheeses to the mixture and mix until melted.
  • Add the cooked pasta and toss until well coated with the sauce.
  • If you like, add shredded chicken, ham, chopped tomatoes, olives or peas to the mixture.
  • Arrange the macaroni and cheese on a baking sheet and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Take to preheated oven at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes, until golden on top.
  • Serve it hot.
