Ingredients
500 g of penne pasta
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon wheat flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: shredded chicken, ham, chopped tomatoes, olives, peas, etc.
Directions
- Cook the macaroni according to package directions.
- Run and book.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and add the flour.
- Mix well and let cook for 1 minute.
- Add the milk and cream to the pan and mix until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Add the grated cheeses to the mixture and mix until melted.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss until well coated with the sauce.
- If you like, add shredded chicken, ham, chopped tomatoes, olives or peas to the mixture.
- Arrange the macaroni and cheese on a baking sheet and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Take to preheated oven at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes, until golden on top.
- Serve it hot.
