The lawyer from the Professional Center for Human Rights answers questions about the protest measure proposed by the student commission of Unidxs por la Cultura, called “molinetazo”, which is taking place this afternoon in several train and subway stations in protest against the tariff increases and the adjustment. “No, there is no law that penalizes this,” he adds that “Evasion of paying a ticket is not punishable by any law,” says the lawyer.
The “molinetazo” consists of protesters entering train and subway stations without paying the ticket, to express their rejection of the high fares that drown the pockets of the vast majority.
This Friday’s measure, proposed by the student commission of Unidxs por la Cultura, was voted on in student centers and by neighborhood assemblies of the AMBA.
