The hominy with peanuts is a variation of this dish, where roasted and ground peanuts are added in the original recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground white corn

  • 4 cups of water (tea)

  • 2 cups of milk (tea)

  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar

  • 1/2 cup roasted and ground peanuts

  • Cinnamon powder to decorate

Directions

  • In a pan, mix the ground corn, water and milk and lead to medium heat.
  • Let it cook for about 30 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • Add sugar and ground peanuts to the pan and mix well.
  • Let it cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot and sprinkle cinnamon powder on top before serving.

Notes

  • You can also add other ingredients such as grated coconut, cloves, cloves and cinnamon, condensed milk, among others, to enhance the recipe.
