Homemade Whipped Cream

Whipped cream is a sweet, fluffy cream made with heavy cream, sugar, and sometimes other ingredients such as vanilla or chocolate. It is often used as a filling or topping for cakes, pies, cupcakes and other sweets. It can also be served as a dessert alone or with fruit.

Homemade whipped cream is very easy to make and is much tastier than store-bought whipped cream. 
To make homemade whipped cream you will need:

Ingredients

  • 1 can of chilled full cream milk (35% fat)

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (optional)

Directions

  • Remove the cream from the fridge for a few minutes before whipping. 
    This will help warm it up a bit and make it easier to beat.
  • Place the cream in a mixer and beat on high speed for about 5 minutes, or until it is very firm and fluffy.
  • If desired, add sugar and beat for a few more minutes.
  • Use the whipped cream immediately or store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
