This Creamy Cottage Cheese is a great option for those looking for a healthier and more economical alternative to industrialized cottage cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of whole milk

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • Heat the milk over medium heat until it boils.
  • Turn off the heat and add the lemon juice or vinegar.
  • Stir a little and wait for it to curdle, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Pass through a fine sieve and press with a spoon to release the liquid.
  • Add the butter and salt and beat well until the cream cheese is creamy.
  • Place the cottage cheese in a container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
