To make your Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk (395g)

  • 1 can of cream (300g)

  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

  • 1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon ice cream emulsifier (optional)

Directions

  • In a blender, beat the condensed milk, cream, milk and cocoa powder until smooth.
  • If you are going to use the emulsifier, add it now and beat a little more.
  • Pour the ice cream into an airtight container and place in the freezer for at least 6 hours, or until it is very firm.
  • Remove the ice cream from the freezer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier ice cream, use fresh cream instead of boxed cream.
  • For a more intense ice cream, use 50% or 70% cocoa powder.
  • To decorate the ice cream, use chocolate syrup, chocolate shavings or fruit.
