It’s a simple and delicious recipe, which can be served as a main dish or as a starter.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of potatoes

  • 500g ground beef

  • 200g mozzarella cheese

  • Oil

  • 1 onion

  • 1 crushed garlic clove

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • Cook the potatoes in boiling water until tender.
  • Drain the potatoes and mash them until they form a puree.
  • In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil.
  • Add the ground beef and sauté until golden brown.
  • Season with salt to taste.
  • In a baking dish, make a layer of mashed potatoes.
  • Cover with ground beef.
  • Make another layer of mashed potatoes.
  • Top with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes, or until the cheese melts and turns golden.
