Garlic sauce is a sauce made with garlic as the main ingredient. It is a sauce with a strong and spicy flavor, which goes well with meats, vegetables and breads.

Garlic is an ingredient with a strong and characteristic flavor. 
When it’s minced or mashed, it releases sulfur compounds that give garlic sauce its tangy flavor. 
The milk and oil help balance out the garlic flavor and give the sauce a creamy texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) whole milk

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) soybean oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano

Directions

  • In a blender, beat the garlic, milk and salt until smooth.
  • With the blender on, gradually add the oil until the sauce thickens.
  • Finally, add the oregano and beat some more.
  • Serve the garlic sauce with barbecue, meats, vegetables or breads.

Notes

  • For a creamier sauce, whisk it longer.
  • If you want, add other ingredients to the sauce, such as pepper, parsley or chives.
  • To preserve the garlic sauce, store it in the refrigerator in a tightly closed container.
